The Russia-Ukraine conflict caused an energy crisis in the European region. The impact was felt by Germany as a cooperation partner with Russia in the natural gas energy sector. The purpose of this research is to analyze the perspectives and strategies Germany's strategy in releasing dependence on the Russian natural gas supply during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This research is conducted using mix method. The result of this research is Germany's perspective on Russia during the invasion of Ukraine is firm in providing economic sanctions aimed at weakening Russia's GDP and Germany's strategy in fulfilling its natural gas needs during the conflict by diversifying energy through LNG and producing renewable energy properly. This research used Regional Security Complex Theory, Foreign Policy Theory, Energy Security Theory, and Analysis SWOT. This research used data collected from the German Embassy in Indonesia and several official reports such as British Petroleum’s Statistical Review of World Energy 2021. The researcher concludes that Germany should contribute to supplying LNG as a substitute for Russian natural gas, and Germany should improve technology to facilitate renewable energy production.
